I have always been passionate about health and fitness.
I have been a fitness instructor for 10 years, training in and teaching Pilates, Kettlebells and Boxercise classes in local gyms and community centres.
However, I have been practicing yoga for almost 20 years, at home and in yoga studios or any space I can find wherever I go. My practice has developed over the last decade to become an integral part of my life.
For me yoga is about making space – space to move, space to breathe and space to take time out on my mat to connect with myself.
Yes, you will get stronger and more flexible with a regular yoga practice but that is not what will keep you coming back to your mat – it is the sense of stillness, inner peace and connection to yourself that becomes the reason that so many people fall in love with yoga. I am passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone, regardless of age, gender or ability and breaking the notion that you have to be fit and flexible to practice –
‘If you can breathe, you can do yoga’ and we all can breathe!
In my classes you can expect to be challenged with fluidity and a focus on core strength but always with connection to the breath, a sense of fun and space to slow down and breathe.
